textbook: valentino showed their couture collection today. i must say it is certainly a departure from the emperor. i also must say that we’re dealing with an entirely new house…a re-birth? after this collection it’s hard to say. a re-birth would require some of the same dna and while the skill set remains, i am hard pressed to find the same charm and spirit that valentino himself brought to the collection.1: valentino haute couture a/w 20072: valentino haute couture s/s 2010 I agree. It isn’t a re-birth so much as a re-invention of Valentino ideals.
